What is West Marine’s Cruising for a Cause?
West Marine will celebrate the opening of its new Woburn Flagship Store with a Cruising for a Cause on Thursday, April 28 from 6-9pm. West Marine’s Cruising for a Cause offers the opportunity for local boating and marine environmental non-profit organizations to raise funds for their programs.
What’s happening at the event? What do I get?
In addition to raising funds for the charities, we will have a full evening planned for you. For the price of your ticket donation, you will receive:
- Entry to the event, which will include hot and cold food, drinks, live music, fun and festivities
- A coupon for 15% off products at the new West Marine Flagship store in Woburn - A voucher for a gift bag with lots of goodies
- Entry into our raffle, where you have the chance to win valuable products and prizes throughout the evening (please see the attached list of raffle items for the evening) - Silent and live auction – You can bid on a variety of gift packages, items and outings
How do the charities benefit?
We have orchestrated the event to give the maximum benefit to the charity organizations:
- Ticket Sales: o 100% of the proceeds from these passport ticket sales go to the organization. o For each ticket that is presented at the event, an additional $2.00 is donated to the
organization by West Marine. o We will also sell tickets at the door – Proceeds from in-store ticket sales will be split among the beneficiaries.
- Silent and Live Auction Proceeds o The charity organizations will keep all proceeds from their silent auction item.
